Kitesurfing in Dakhla

Dakhla is located on a small peninsula on the southern coast of Morocco and is a paradise for

kitesurfers of all levels. Winds blow consistently and year round (15-35 knots), and

This is an incredible mixture of water conditions, from flat water to large

WAVES. Dakhla is a little harder to reach than others kitesurf destinations - but it's

Free riding at the lagoon

There are basically two options for where to kite surf. There are the big, blue

the lagoon with the smoothest water conditions and large standing deep areas, the

perfect place for beginners and freeriders. There is plenty of room for everyone,

both around the lagoon when you start and the lagoon itself, where downwinders so long as 30 km can be done!

 

Wave riding on the sea

On the seaward side of Dakhla, on the other hand, there are great waves that are not allowed failing to advanced waverider. The waves here are usually 2-4 meters high and

days with strong winds is 5 meters are not uncommon.

 

Dakhla you fly via Casablanca or the Canary Islands (Ryanair, Norwegian and

Morocco Airlines). We are here in January-February.
